Therapy (CBT) Manualized program for clinically anxious children: study protocol of a
randomized controlled Trial” written by Melou Jansen and Marleen MEM Van Doom who are
PhD holders in psychology along with their co-investigators and supervisors and is referred to
the psychiatric fraternity on the effectiveness of the Thinking +Doing +Daring (TDD) program
designed for children in the range of 8-12 years who suffer from anxiety disorder. The scope of
this study is to generate a trial procedure which determines the effectiveness of this program on
these young children and determine in what ways the specified program can be developed as
well as showing its limitations. The methodology employed in this trial, requires the
participation of clinically anxious children between the said age bracket under an RCT where
they are assigned to experimental or the control directive of N=60, TDD or N=60 as the normal
treatment respectively deemed to identify the anxiety symptoms of the children as the primary
outcome while both aggression and depression will be the secondary outcomes (Jansen et al.,
2012). Further, the gauges of both parenting and therapeutic alliance will be tested as the strong
