Question Description

Read the following article on security threats: Security Intelligence

The article clearly states that “95% of all security incidents involve human error.” So discuss why we bother to harden our systems when the ultimate cause of failure will most probably be the end user?

Discuss whether it is possible to harden a network to be impervious to being exploited or intruded upon. How far can you go ethically as an IT professional to secure a network? How far is too far?

If Windows is constantly under attack from viruses and vulnerabilities, why do we choose to use this operating system in our network? Why is Windows so popular if it so thoroughly full of vulnerabilities and exploitations?
