Tasks:

Prepare a business plan in a Microsoft Word document with an accompanying Microsoft PowerPoint presentation containing the key points of your plan to serve as a presentation to a group of potential investors. The business plan should focus on a specific project or initiative to be implemented in the business areas covered by your respective MS program of study.

The Microsoft Word document (official plan) should have a minimum of 12 pages, and the presentation should be of 12–15 slides.

Executive Summary

The name of the business venture this business plan is to address is ‘Voolex Human
Resource Consultancy Services’. From the venture’s name, it is clear that the business idea
arrived at is offering human resource consultancy. The target market will comprise of the small
upcoming businesses that are looking to expand into larger businesses. This has specifically been
chosen as the target market because most small businesses expand without considering the value
the human capital they invest in has on the overall profitability and general success of their
businesses in whatever industry they belong. We look forward to providing invaluable human
resource advice on how they can expand and recruit the best talent that is able to meet their
business expectations. The type of organization we intend to form is a Limited Liability
Company. This means it will be a corporate body that is separate from the founders and owners.
For the marketing strategy, the firm will conduct several promotional strategies to create
awareness as well as a close relationship with its customers some of which include forming
interactive platforms on Facebook, twitter, and Instagram owing to the fact that most people visit
internet platforms to seek possible solutions to their problems. Causes and charity will be another
promotional strategy that the firm will implement so as to create a sensitization to the public and
this strategy creates a win/win situation in clients where they will be more interested in the firm
seeing that it represents a cause even in the society. The key success factors during the first year
of operation will be operating within our budget and acquiring clients. Revenues may not be a
primary priority at this stage but will be included among the key success factors as the business
grows. One major short term business goal is to break even while a long term goal may be to
remain profitable during all the years the business will be in operation. Since it will be a limited
liability company, the ownership may be at one point be shared with shareholders based on how

much they will have invested in its growth and development. The start-up requirements will be
divided into start-up expenses and start-up assets. The start-up assets are the long term assets
which are an estimated $5000, and Cash that is estimated at $15,000. The total assets will,
therefore, be $20,000. The start-up expenses, on the other hand, include the legal fees that are
estimated at $1500 and the cost of stationery and other minor expenses estimated at $250. To
finance this, the funding sources we intend to pursue include the use of angel investors, personal
investments, love money, and business incubators to some extent.
