Methods of Persuasion: Abortion
Introduction

To persuade refers to the streamlined and well coordinated process of convincing an
individual to accept something either from a negative or positive point of perception. Generally,
persuasion ha spayed a crucial role in streamlining the society, when it comes to controversial
issues such as abortion. For example, abortion has taken root in the society; justified by the fact
of the effects of globalization, evolving trends in fashion & lifestyle; and increased freedom of
choice. By incorporating comprehensive persuasive ingredients such as molding the perception
of an individual, eliciting of congruent attitude, arousing social pressure, habituating the message
and optimization of personal views; it is of sound mind to appreciate the fact that indeed abortion
should be not be allowed in society. This essay is a concrete personal stand on abortion and how
it should not be given room in society. Before giving my stand on this controversial social issue,

Abortion refers to the legal and illegal acts of terminating pregnancy by removal of the
fetus from the mother’s uterus. In the event that abortion has occurred spontaneously, it is called
miscarriage. Abortion that is procured intentionally is referred to as induced abortion (Priscilla &

justified by the fact of improved technology and other medical innovations in the field medicine;
and some flexible laws which tend to legalize abortion on grounds that the only option for saving
someone’s life is to prematurely end the pregnancy. However, despite the fact of medical
inventions and constructive changes in the field of technology, abortion should not be allowed in
society. Below are justifications as to why the law, technology and medical practices should be

of perpetuating human generation.
Abortion Is Risky
Women who seek to end pregnancy sometimes resort to unsafe methods in the event that
they have been denied legal means of terminating pregnancy (Priscilla & Vincent, 2009). The
culture of resorting to use of people who lack enough experience on how to handle the process
have on several occasions caused detrimental healthy impacts to women. Such healthy
complications include: sepsis, hemorrhage and causing untold damage to other internal body
parts of the victim. In the long run, an individual might not be able to give birth; justified by the
fact that the reproductive system is damaged. Because of these adverse effects, the society should
not give room to any form of legal or illegal termination of life.
