Case Synopsis
Paragraph 1: Bru-Thru, Inc. is a store of chain of beverage supply stores located in many places
New York upstate. The store is designed such that customers pick their orders while in their cars.
It has driving lane running across the store and commodities such as beer, soft drinks and other
drinks are displayed on both sides of the lane.
Methodology
Paragraph 2: The information provided for the case study include the customer mean revenue
and standard deviation, the probability of zero to four customers arriving to the store at the same
time, the amount spends by the store as direct cost, the time taken to serve a single customer and
the maximum number of cars the queue can handle.
Results analysis and other factors to be considered in decision making
Paragraph 3: According the excel simulation, it is very clear that Bru-Thru president will be
making a monthly loss of $4,500.
Recommendations
Paragraph 4: According to the results of excel simulation, I recommend that Bru- Thru president
should not open the store because of the huge operation cost verses lower revenue generate.
