The law is a lucid when it comes to privacy of people in their workplace, personal lives and
public places. Privacy considered as a gray area, makes the law even not clear as to what exactly
constituents privacy in workplaces. It remains an ill-defined situation because of the abrupt and
rapid changes in the modernized workplace whereby technology is involved changing and
uprising at a neck break speed. However privacy becomes a highly subjective issue when an
individual works for a company and within the premises or even using infrastructure, assets or
resources from the organization. The most significant factor is the context, in which privacy is
being discussed.
Other companies have privacy policies while others do not, Majority of government jobs
whether considered federal or state level come with particular privacy policy most of which are
assured by the Fourth Amendments unlike private jobs and companies that don’t evaluate such
sanctioned policy. It is up to the people to accept or decline the private policy at their workplaces
determined by the company. Additionally, we get to see some company get employees to sign on
terms of the employment in that should an employee start working in a company that has policies
then the individual should willingly accept and understand the privacy clauses as stated in the
rules and policy. There are certain aspects of privacy that are assured in all workplace whereas

A company cans never any access to an individual personal belonging, for example they
cannot install security cameras in the toilets and washrooms thus there are certain private issues
that cannot be questioned even if you have to be frisked when entering a workplace. If a certain
job or company requires such conditions and measures then that ought to be non-intrusive.
