Running Head: PROPOSAL 1 Wal-Mart Company Timothy Jones DeVry University MGMT 591 8/1/2017 PROPOSAL 2 Wal-Mart Company The Wal-Mart company operates in different states and deals with a variety of products. Working as an assistant in the research and development department, I would like to take a focus on the company, its internal and external factors affecting business and ways through which the performance of the company could be improved (Courtney, Haynes & Paradice, 2005). My role in the organization would thus be performing research and presenting methods through which organizational challenges could be addressed. Wal-Mart Company is faced with the challenge of restocking of shelves as fast as possible after customers make purchases. The company operates many stores but there is the challenge of timely stocking of the shelves. Customers keep on complaining once they cannot access the goods and services that they require from the stores. This has contributed to some customers opting for other stores that are conveniently restocking their shelves (Courtney, Haynes & Paradice, 2005). On the other hand, some of the products are not available in the stores for a long period of time so that the needs of the customers are not addressed adequately by the organization. The main reason why the customers of Wal Mart Company have opted for other stores is the fact that they do not find the products they need for satisfying their needs. The problem statement Wal-Mart has failed to meet the demands of the customers through ineffective restocking of shelves, a reason why most have left for other stores offering similar products or alternatives. The problem facing the company will fall under organizational management and its impact on customers. The management of the company has failed to meet the needs of the customers since it does not ensure that demands are met through the products and services PROPOSAL offered by the store (Courtney, Haynes & Paradice, 2005). This has in a great way affected the customer base since customers have found alternative stores and products. The efficiency of a management is determined by how well it addresses issues facing the company. 3 PROPOSAL 4 References Courtney, J. F., Haynes, J. D., & Paradice, D. B. (2005).
