SOCIAL MEDIA ENHANCES INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Revised argument
In the deductive argument, social media was found, based on three premises, to enhance
interpersonal relationships. The premises included:
Premise 1: social media allows people the opportunity to interact with more people than
they would otherwise have in real life.
Premise 2: People, through interacting with a greater number of people through social
media, enhance their intercultural interactions.
Premise 3: the higher the number of individuals and cultures one interacts with through
social media, the better their interpersonal relationship skills.
Conclusion: social media, therefore, enhances individual’s interpersonal skills.
Counterargument
Premise 1: social media does not allow people the opportunity to interact with more

Premise 2: through interacting with many people through social media, people do not
better their intercultural interaction skills.
Premise 3: interacting with a greater number of people through social media does not
always result in better interpersonal relationship skills.
Conclusion: social media, therefore, hinders interpersonal relationship skills.
