Description

I have the paper ready. I just need 15-16 PPT slides. The paper is all about UAVs and automatons. It is a master level Emerging Technology course. I am attaching the papers.Just make the ppt slides and Please add brief foot note or speaker note so that i can present the PPT.

*** The note should be very brief and the slides should be simple and well organised.

One of the most popular new technologies emerging in 2017 is the technology which allows physicians to take liquid biopsies. The liquid biopsy exceptional is that it enables clinicians to obtain samples which they are not able to obtain by the typical tissue biopsy. The liquid biopsy has been gaining momentum over the years and expected to be highly utilized in 2017. The liquid biopsy was developed by Dr. Dennis Lo, a native of Hong Kong. Dr. Lo has been developing this technology for over 20 years. Dr. Lo began developing this technology when he set out to detect liver and other cancers extremely early, prior to a patient even experiencing symptom, by sequencing the DNA of a patient's blood sample. (Standaert) Liquid biopsies can also identify dying cancer cells that shed into a person’s blood stream. It is the hope of that these biopsies become a part of an annual exam so any signs of cancer can be identified and treated quickly. Liquid biopsies can also be used to compare with tissue biopsies, giving clinicians valuable insight. (Pantel, 2013) This new technology can prevent high cost and patients having to go through a battery of invasive tests, surgeries and procedures. The DNA found in blood from a liquid biopsy allows physicians to identify the best treatment options for the patient. (Heitzer & Auer, 2013) Liquid biopsies are not only a welcome addition to the medical community not only for its ability to detect cancer but to fight it as well. A liquid biopsy can also aid a doctor in choosing the best medication to treat a patient’s cancer by according to the DNA mutation found in the liquid biopsy. This approach has been successful in China. According to Dr. Lo, 40% for Chinese lung cancer patients have been found to have the mutation in the gene EGFR, which makes them available for newly developed drugs. LIQUID BIOPSY
By: Insert Name Here

INTRODUCTION
• A liquid biopsy can be defined as a simple and non-invasive option of
surgical biopsies that gives the doctors the capabilities of discovering a
lot of information regarding tumor by the use a simple blood sample.
• Through this means, when traces of cancer’s DNA are found in the
blood, a clue on which treatments have high probability of working on
a particular patients is derived.

DEVELOPMENT
• This is one of the technologies that has enabled the doctors to be able
to take liquid biopsy.
• The samples obtained from the liquid biopsy cannot be obtained from
tissue biopsy that has been in use for better part of this decade.
• It was developed by Dr. Dennis Lo for the purposes of detecting liver
cancers and other cancer types at a very early stage before they give
any clinical symptoms. This is dob=ne through sequencing DNA of a
patients blood sample.

APPLICATION
• Through the liquid biopsy test, epidermal growth factor receptor gene
mutation can easily be detected.
• This has been found to occur in about 10-35 percent of patients who
are having non-small cell lung cancer, hence helping the doctors in
selecting the best treatment for the patient at the right time frame.
• Before the technology was expanded to be used in all types of cancer,
it was mainly used in breast, prostrate and lung cancers.
