One finding that I learned from this week’s reading is that childbearing and rearing change with
time (page 335).
2. Provide a background of the theory/concept, covering the name of theory, theorist,
or concept, and what the theory says about human development or behavior. (.25)
The background of this social concept is attributed to the fact that childbearing has been
changing over time with parents bearing fewer children over the recent past. Child-rearing has
also changed as children attempt to defy their rules set by their parents owing to the increasing
application of child rights. McGoldrick, Carter, and Garcia-Preto 335) explains all these changes.
The concept explains why human behavior has changed towards the protection of human rights
against social injustices.
