Assignment 2: Dropbox Assignment
Program Development
In this assignment, you will apply your learning of program development from Weeks 1–5 and create a program using the Alice programming environment.
Based on the tutorials you have completed through Weeks 1–5 in the Alice programming environment, you are to complete the following programming projects.
Programming Project 6:
Design and write a “greeter” program that asks the user for his or her name and then displays “Welcome to Java” followed by the user’s name.
Programming Project 7:
Design and write a “dog years” program that asks the user how old he or she is and then computes and displays the user’s age in dog years. Assume that dog years = person years X 7.
Upon completion of the programming project, answer the following questions:
- Explain how the Java commands were used in the creation process of these programs.
- Do you think those commands helped the programming/coding process to be easier?
Support your work with appropriate reasoning.
