Walmart Stores Inc. undertakes wholesale, retail and other units of operations around the
globe. The operations of the company are segmented into three; Walmart U.S, Walmart
International, and Sam’s club. The Walmart U.S branch involves its broad merchant concept
within the united states, operating under the digital retail and the Walmart brand. Walmart
International segment undertakes regional operations outside the united states, including various
online operations such as retail websites. This segment involves retail and wholesale categories
of various formats such as supermarkets, supercenters, and warehouse clubs. The warehouse
clubs include home improvement, cash and carry, Sam’s clubs, apparel stores, drug stores, digital
retails and convenience stores.
The leadership structure of Walmart aims at integrating values and organizational culture
to enhance employees’ morale and create a positive implication on the bottom line as well.
Dough McMillan is the president and CEO of Walmart stores Inc. In his leadership position, he
has a range of initiative in the company including to enhance prioritization for customer services,
through training of employees, and motivation through improved salaries, especially among
