have already developed a thesis statement and developed an outline in
which you explored two (2) real-life international incidents from the
past five (5) years involving the United States as they received an
elevated status as a world power. Now you will develop the final paper
in which you explore your main points in detail.
Write a three to five (3-5) page paper in which you:
- Introduce your paper with your previously crafted thesis statement.
- Discuss two (2) international events involving the US military from the past five (5) years that can be traced back to a foreign policy created after the Civil War.
- Discuss three (3) aspects of US history since 1865 that has led to the US’s rise as a world super power policeman.
- Identify three to five (3-5) international incidents since World War II where America has taken on a policing role.
- Determine three to five (3-5) driving forces that fueled international policy decisions involving the international incidents you outlined previously. (Consider treaties, exit strategies, elections, wars, etc.)
- Use at least three (3) academic references besides or in addition to the textbook. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Introduction
The police force in America has become one of the most powerful military establishments
in the world. This is following various global incidences like civil wars that it has been involved
in mediating. The United States’ military is involved in solving and settling several civil wars in
the world. The best example is its involvement in Afghanistan and Somalia’s civil wars. It provides
its military to assist in settling the wars and instilling peace (Mattern, 2016). It mostly works in
conjunction with the United Nations. The United States military has played a significant role in
mediating the wars in Iraq and in Iran. This comes with the ultimate responsibility of fighting
terrorism that is greatly manifested in that region. All these involvements have made the US be
among the most dominant militaries around the globe. Its military is always well trained and is
highly skilled in combat. This makes the United States military able to defend itself against any
form of attacks (Rogers, 2011). The military is usually always ready and on standby to engage in
war. Even as the United States’ military engages itself in the mediation of external civil wars, it is
well aware of its ability to assist ending the war. It is therefore not wrong to say the police force
in the US has become one of the most influential militaries in the world.
Events That Can Be Traced Back To the US Civil Policy
There are various international actions that the United States military has involved in within
the prior five years that may be originated back to the prominent foreign policy which was made
after the Civil War. The aggressive military undertakings and rounds in Somalia, Iraq, and
Afghanistan among others are an example of the US upholding the foreign policy that was formed
following the dreadful Civil War in the USA. Another instance is when the United States
intervenes in the manufacture and use of atomic bombs that pose a threat to the whole world
(Mattern, 2016). Nations that engaged in the dealings of atomic bombs received criticism from the
