The main factors to consider when developing a pay policy for the employees is that the
chosen approach should maximize the ability of the company to attract and retains employees
that possess the right qualifications. Additionally, the pay has to be competitive and be within the
capabilities of the business (Anthony, Perrewe, &Kacmar, 1993). Working out how to
compensate the personnel can be quite a challenge, a business may vary in size, and some may
be start-ups and a long way from being productive and other factors. Besides, not all
organizations may have the information needed to make the decision about the pay and so may
rely on surveys. The information is therefore obtained by analyzing how other companies are
compensating and using it as a baseline for developing one'...
