Introduction
Organizations face challenges in the hiring and recruitment processes. On the other hand,
the human resource function of every firm has to ensure that they apply the laws that guide in the
recruitment and staffing process. Some organizations have faced court cases about their human
resource functions and how they utilize them in the long term. Some of the recruitment issues
that face organizations mostly arise from unsatisfied employees who feel that the company
performed the activity unfairly (INDYSHRM, 2015). However, most of the cases where
companies face challenges in hiring and staffing process involve mergers and acquisition,
changes in the workforce and induction. Employees have differences in demands once they join
firms. As a result, they may end up feeling that a company does not meet their needs leading an
increase in employee turnover. In other cases, the employees may feel that some of the decisions
made against their actions do not portray transparency or fairness thus filing claims against
firms. Some of the cases related to recruitment and staffing processes include;
