The Leadership is the process by which a person influences others to accomplish desired
goals by convincing them to ensure a cohesive and coherent direction. The debate is started
whether the leaders are born or made? The debate resulted in two schools of thoughts. The one
school of thought believe leaders are made with a diverse set of abilities whereas the other school
of thought believes that leaders are made through a process that comprises learning, growing and
the development of leadership skills (Henrikson, 2006). This does not matter whether the leaders
are born or made the thing that is important is the qualities and abilities of the leaders so that the
leader can drive people to the next level. The process of learning and for making leaders is
complex as it requires tolerance, wisdom, and understanding. The process of assessment for
leader requires checking the achievements and the results of different actions/projects that are
carried out by the leaders. The leaders can do a self-assessment to determine whether they are
contributing to the society and this self-assessment also helps to understand the strengths and
weakness of their personality.
