Throughout the 1450 to 1750 period, Western Europe was focused on a time of
economic growth and overseas exploration that changed society. By 1450, Europe had
recuperated from a severe reduction of the 14th century, created by marginal agriculture and
plague, and was returning the economic development that had been the arrangement in the
12th and early 13th centuries. The new era of development, nevertheless, was no ordinary
expansion of the earlier one, but a severe withdrawal from outdated economic systems.
Usually, a considerable number of individuals make wild attempts to provide differing claims
to the issues that inspired the European Expansion. The regularly discussed issue is the
competitiveness among the European powers. Mainly, several individuals argue that several
European influences were resolved to extend their religion to additional regions of the globe.
Religion appears to have performed an adequate responsibility regarding being a motivation
for European colonization and exploration. It is, however clear that there were other
influences, possibly more significant than religion, which seemed like to have been more of
inspiration. It was imagined that countries which were resolute in expanding their faith to
other regions of the world to concentrate on religious matters to accomplish their objective.
On the other hand, a substantial number of European countries made desperate attempts to
accumulate raw materials from their recently obtained colonies with the intention of
advancing their economic standing in the global field. Religion was not a significant
influence on these countries (Lohmueller et al., 2008). Therefore, the idea that religious
rivalry stimulated European expansion is incorrect.
The numerous motives that Europeans left their countries to locate undiscovered
territories fall into three main classes: political, economic factors, and technological factors.
The political issues that motivated exploration were all a matter of rivalry between countries
to be the greatest, most powerful nation in the world. England and other states in Europe

became fascinated in the New World, especially since the Spanish discovered silver and gold
that caused them to be the most authoritative country in Europe. The English rulers began to
drive explorers to the New World, and in the following few centuries, they would develop
into the leading nation in the colonization of North America, which rendered them one of the
greatest influential countries in the world.
