DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

1
Introduction

One of the major social issues that human services and society face today is Domestic
Violence. Domestic Violence includes physical assault, sexual assault, psychological assault and
emotional forms of abuse from one intimate partner to another (Hornor, 2005). This kind of
violence. I chose this as my topic because it an issue that is constantly increasing and statistics
show that it occurs in every 24 minutes in the United States. One out of every four women as

prone to domestic violence such that 89% of those who are suffering are women where the

violent crime into the eyes of the public by addressing these matters in court if needed. This has
a big effect on the public especially those who witness the public intervention.
