Professional goals
The aspect of scholar-practitioner is at the center of the Walden experience. Through the
school’s vibrant learning framework, students can not only become consumers of knowledge and
information but also agents of change in the society. As a student at Walden University, I have
set professional goals that I intend to fulfill after graduation. The knowledge gained from the
school, experiences, and interactions will assist me to achieve these goals.
One of the professional goals that I intend to achieve after graduation is joining a
professional organization. Joining such an organization will enable me to take charge of my
career at the same time broaden my knowledge. The job market is very competitive but the skills
and knowledge acquired from the university will enable me to compete effectively in the market.
Furthermore, I plan to pursue further studies because am currently taking an undergraduate
course. Furthering my studies and taking a post-graduate course will enable me to develop my
skills and experiences immediately I join the corporate world. Typically, pursuing further studies
will improve my career prospects and enable me to develop or change my career direction
(DiSanza, Legge, 2016).
