An Accountable Care Organization is an organization which will feature physicians,
health care providers and the hospital providing the health care services. The group will
voluntarily come together with the aim of providing health care which is of high quality to
patients under the Medicare program ( Zaslavsky, 2014). The primary objective of the
coordination of the group will be to make sure that the patients receive the right healthcare
services without any delays. The services will be provided to patients who are severely ill.
The healthcare service being offered will leave no space for medical errors since the quality
of the service provided will be quite high. Besides, this care organization will provide the
services and still manage to spend the health care money sensibly (Guterman, 2014).
Currently, Medicare offers three programs which will provide the same services. The
shared savings program will be associated with fees required for the service program. The
second program will include selected persons from shared savings Medicare program. And
the last one which features an ACO model will be provided to individuals who are given the
coordinated healthcare service (Ginneken, 2014).
The coordinated care organization in Oregon which is being provided by the nonprofit organization is unique. The services offered by the organization are of high quality
