Description

Find someone interesting or newsworthy. Think of a creative angle to speak about in the intro. Because no profile is complete without an interview, I would like you to generate a list of at least five questions. Then, interview the person using these five questions as a basis or to supplement you angle. You might decide to ask follow up questions of certain interviewee, in order to clarify or further explore certain ideas. Even if its just to prompt, could you tell me a little more about her.

PAPER #1: PROFILE PLUS PERSONAL INTERVIEW English 102 with Prof. Colborn DUE: See Syllabus: 9/28 due ASSIGNMENT: Find someone interesting or newsworthy. Think of a creative angle to speak about in the intro. Because no profile is complete without an interview, I would like you to generate a list of at least five questions. Then, interview the person using these five questions as a basis or to supplement your angle. You might decide to ask follow-up questions of certain interviewee, in order to clarify or further explore certain ideas (even if it's just to prompt, “Could you tell me a little more about that?''). I would test these questions on someone first to make sure you don't need to rephrase/rework them. In your paper, you will discuss their responses and draw your own conclusions about these findings. Remember that you should include demographic information for your interviewee, such as age, occupation, race, gender, (etc.) as appropriate to your topic (creative angle). You can conduct your interview in person or over Facetime or video messaging. Be sure to note anything particular in terms of the interviewees' tone and non-verbal responses to questions. Next step, get it all down in a logical order on paper. Attach your list of questions after the Works Cited page. We will discuss how to go about organizing and writing up this paper. We will also go over some examples. DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS: For a personal interview (i.e., one that you conduct yourself), you need only three elements: the person's full name, the descriptor: Personal Interview, and the date on which the interview was conducted. Example: Smith, Jane. Personal Interview. 14 March 2016. FURTHER REQUIREMENTS: This paper should be typed, double-spaced, with one-inch margins, in 12-point, Times New Roman font. Be sure to include a proper heading and header. Your paper should have a dynamic title (i.e., something other than "Paper #1"). Your finished work should be 3-4 pages in length (insert page numbers and staple, please), plus a Work Cited page, and a page of interview questions. Wu joined university in the United States. He was an exemplary student and he was also involved

that ranged from playing football, violin expert, acting and he was also the chairman for the
disability group in campus. Many people often don’t realize that his left arm is missing on their
first encounter with Yin, it personally took me about a few hours before I realized he was only
operating with one arm. Due to his strong personality and interesting demeanor, Yin was liked by
many, he had beaten all odds to be where he is and he was very optimistic about life.
He was a person of interest to me since I wanted to know more about his social cultural
background, what his goal in life was and how the change of immigration to a different State has
affected him. I had endless questions to ask but I settled for five questions that would enable me
have a better understanding of this young man who had us all marveling at his charismatic and
energetic nature. When I called him, requesting for an interview for the campus paper, he was very
excited and reassured me that he will be prepare...
