Social media has revolutionized sports and entertainment industries. However, it has come with
its fair share of disadvantages. Firstly, the communication tools used in social media require their
handlers to have a deep information and technology know-how. Lack of this knowledge by the
sports and entertainment marketers places an organization at the risk of damaging its image and
reputation. Secondly, managing and controlling the social media communication tools is very
time-consuming. Those handling the social media platforms are required to stay active for long
hours so that they can continuously engage their online users and audiences. Aside from that,
controversial comments and negative feedback received from clients and other audiences within
