Importance of becoming a global citizen
The advancement in technology, trade, and communication has made the world to
become a global village thus forcing citizens from different boundaries to embrace globalization
and foster to become global citizens, which is fundamentally important towards one’s
achievement in attaining their individual, educational, and career objectives. In this paper, an
explanation on the theoretical disagreements on the definition of global citizen will be elaborated
as articulated in by Reysen and Katzarska-Miller in the article as I attempt to define what global
citizen is. A discussion of two outcomes of global citizens as highlighted in the article and
