Instructions: I have to write a 3 page paper analysing one of the in class readings. I have chosen 'the myth of the vaginal orgasm' by Anne koedt ( available online ). The professor suggested these guidelines 'You will write a short reaction paper at the end of each section. These papers will reflect on the work that you have read for that section and the information presented in lecture. These papers should be 2-4 pages in length and should incorporate a synthetic overview of the material, an analysis of the theories and perspectives, and your own assessment of their strengths and weaknesses.

i also discussed with the professor and he said that a good idea would be to pick a broad theme expressed in the reading and sort of argue for or against it backed up by the reading and/or using other outside sources. right now i only have my introduction and an outline of my essay. I am a very bad writer and would appreciate it if you could help edit my introduction and help me with the body of my essay after reading the article ( it is a very short article ). thank you so much

Basically another 500 words on top of the already done intro + editing the intro will be required for this.

Roxanna Rashidian Professor Nava-Coulter Sexuality in Society Sociology Section paper 1 Due to the reality faced by women in society today, that they have taken a submissive role with respects to sexual practises, and because empirical and scientific evidence about the female anatomy have been treated dismissively, men have dominated the discussion on sexual pleasure. (THIS IS MY THESIS ) Sigmund Freud’s early views on human sexuality, like many other early sexologists, categorised women as sexually passive. Although we can acknowledge Freud’s undeniable contribution to the world of psychology, it is clear that his lack of understanding about of the female anatomy and his wilful ignorance towards the notion of female sexuality has rendered his comments on this topic outdated and incorrect. In order to gain a better understanding into female sexuality and change the stereotypes of a submissive female partner and dominant male the findings expressed in the writings of feminist experts should be carefully analysed and used to educate society. Anne Koedt, a radical American feminist, wrote a feminist essay on women’s sexuality, ‘The Myth of the Vaginal Orgasm’, with the aim of spreading awareness and educating society about female sexuality, her essay played a vital role in the feminist sexual revolution and clearly illustrates how we should redefine women’s sexuality and change the social norms surrounding sex. 1. Section paper 1

Women in the current society face a broad range of stereotypes. Culture and traditions
have subjected them to the submissive role concerning sexual practices. The empirical and
scientific evidence about the female anatomy has been treated dismissively, and this has allowed
men to dominate the discussion of sexual pleasure. Sigmund Freud’s early views on human
sexuality, like many other early sexologists, categorized women as sexually passive. Although
we can acknowledge Freud’s positive contribution to the world of psychology, it is evident that
his lack of understanding of the female anatomy and his willful ignorance towards the notion of
women sexuality has rendered his comments on this topic outdated and incorrect.
Female sexuality and change can be understood best regarding the stereotypes of a
submissive female partner and dominant male. The findings expressed in the writings of feminist
experts should be carefully analyzed and used...
