Child Neglect
Child neglect forms part of child abuse and involves parents who do not take care of their
children by not providing them with their needs. Some form of child neglect includes failure to
provide healthcare, nutrition, clothing and shelter. In this case, children suffer physically and
emotionally since they do not have access to the support they need for their growth (Egeland &
Erickson, 2002). Most of the children who face such challenges show symptoms of injuries
where physical abuse takes place. Well, determining cases where child neglect takes place
becomes a tough task since some tests have to be carried out despite the physical symptoms that
show injuries.
