“Born to be blue movie review”
The main actor in the movie, Chet Baker, is a young man who has a strong passion for music.
He, however, is addicted to heroin and he sees nothing wrong with that. Despite being well
talented, he is heavily judged because of this addiction. The character is portrayed to be stubborn
and to be the kind of people who want everything their own way.
Socially the musical character is portrayed as one who does not seem to care what the society
thinks about him. The fact that he is addicted to heroin makes him face tough criticism from all
members of the society. Bodnar J (2003). He, however, seems to care less. When interviewed
and asked why he abuses heroin, he claims that it simply makes him happy. He does not seem to
see anything serious with his addiction. He does not care about the morality of the issue. As a
matter of fact, he does not even try to stop the addiction. He is also portrayed to be very social
because he is said to hang out with many people and especially women.
Musically, the character is portrayed to be very talented. As a matter of fact, he is portrayed to be
Jazz world's hottest sensation. The character is so good in this musical career because he does it
with passion. He is portrayed to only live for two things; to blow the trumpet and to abuse
heroin. As much as the latter is a negative trait, it does not hinder his love for music. All the
performances that the character participates, in turn, out to be epic. However, the character's
musical career ends up being affected by the character's addiction to heroin. However, his
passion for the trumpet does not end.
In the history of Jazz, the musical character is featured in the 1960s. In this historical phase, the
authenticity of musical instruments was more popular than ever. As a matter of fact, the number
