Introduction
Hurricanes are types of severe tropical storms which consists of high winds and also
heavy rains. Hurricane Irma is one storm which was extremely powerful and catastrophic in fact
it was the strongest to be observed in the Atlantic since Wilma regarding the maximum sustained
winds in the year 2005. Being one of the scariest hurricanes experienced in the history of
America, this has given the mandate to the news providers to be able to publish news more
terrifying about the storms and hence making people even more scared of the hurricanes. This
paper will discuss different articles on hurricane Irma which have been published by various
kinds on the news inclusive of the CNN, the humanist and the Fox news as well.
Through this paper, I will be able to give an analysis of the three different story
considering the predictions given on the hurricanes, the real happenings on the storms and also
the aftermath of the whole disaster. I will also express the different ethos and pathos of the
various writers on the articles. The thought of hurricane Irma is quite scary even before
considering reading the news and hence going through different reports on the same hurricane
Irma being described in three different scary stories makes it more exciting and with a mixture of
