Explanation & Answer

Hello, find your attached answer. In case of any clarification feel free to consult or contact me. This is your Favorite Tutor Neal.

a) Identify the global societal issue you have chosen to research for your Final
Argumentative Essay and explain why further research on this topic is important.
Minimum wage will be my topic of discussion. I settled on it since I feel that it is a topic that
affects most of the locals and also I can clearly relate with it. Most of our countrymen are
affected with it and they have nobody to refer to

b) Provide a clear and concise thesis statement that includes a solution to the global societal
issue.
The idea of minimum wage in general is a good one however is the standard amount of
minimum wage really enough to live off of? Looking further in to this you will see that not only
is minimum wage currently not enough to live off of but a raise in the minimum wage is never
enough to help anyone. The idea is for everyone who works to be able to make at least minimum
wage so why is it that we have people who work full time making minimum wage and yet they
are still living well below the poverty level. Who really benefits from minimum wage and an
increase in minimum wage if it isn’t the poor? We as a country should be taking a long hard look
at the cost of living and figuring out a way to get those people who work full time making
miming wage out of poverty. An increase is great but is the increase really enough? Is it really
benefiting the people who need it most? These are all questions...
