Despite being one of the noble Romans who ever lived when Julius Caesar ruled
Roman Empire, Junius Brutus can be described as a person who was quite patriotic to his
country. The death of Julius Caesar which happened in his arms did not signify that he had
been disloyal to Julius. It meant that he had chosen his nation over Julius out of fear that
Julius Caesar would end up being a dictator to his country. His loyalty to his good friend can
be seen throughout the Acts.
"I depart, -that, as I slew my best lover for the good of Rome, I have the same dagger
for myself, when it shall please my country to need my death!" – Marcus Junius Brutus.
The above quote which was taken from Act 3, Scene 2 shows how devoted Junius is
to his country. He also acknowledges that he slew his best friend not for his good, but for the
good of the Roman nation. His devotion to his country can be seen when he acknowledges
that if he had to die for the good of the country, then the same dagger which had been used
during the assassination of Julius Caesar should also be used on him. Junius Brutus had been
