The Fountainhead is a novel written by an author by the name Ayn Rand the story in the
novel involves a protagonist by name Howard Roark who is depicted as an individualistic young
architect designing modernist buildings. In a stand viewed as very firm, Howard refuses to
compromise with an architectural establishment that does not accept innovation. He embodies
what according to Rand is the ideal man, and the character’s struggle manifest Ayn’s belief that
