Quality healthcare is the dream of every patient. Health service providers are solely
responsible for ensuring the safety of the patients as an ethical behavior that defines their
profession. However, ethics of the healthcare service providers has been wanting. The patients as
the key stakeholders are no longer at the heart of the health professions in their discharge of
health services. This paper focuses on writing a letter to a legislator with the responsibility of
providing health policy that enhances patient safety, which has become a concern, outlining the
health policy proposal that is believed to restore sanity in safety of the patient.
Reported cases of the neglects of the patient's health deteriorating in the hands of the
healthcare service providers are rampant. As a stakeholder in a non-profit in a healthcare
organization, I believe the life of the patient matters than anything else in any health
organization. As a result, I propose the development of the health policy that will be focused on
enhancing their safety for quality health care services.
