We made the surface smooth and flat by filing using smithy machine. 2. The drill was 0.25”. 3. We made the surface smooth and flat by taking off 0.042 4. After we made the surface smooth and flat, we paint the metal. 5. While waiting for it to dray, we draw on a paper first to get approve 6. We used this tool to draw on the metal because it is easy to see the measurement and to draw the three shapes given in lab2. 7. Finally, we used the smithy machine to take off the parts that we do not need. We took off 0.042 (assumed) because we forget to see the measurement on the machine. Errors we did: 1. There are some corners are not sharp, which means the corner is not 90 degree. 2. We went over the line that we draw as seen in the middle of the square in the left top corner. Safety equipment: 1. Goggles. Additional note: We used the x and y axis to move, and the y axis was locked.

The practical on how to operate the Smithy machine was set to accomplish the following
four main aims. First, to make an introduction of the machine tool, the Mill; this is used in shop
manufacture and other terminologies unfamiliar to the students. Second, learn the significance of
lenience and measurement in manufacturing industry (The Mahmud Consortium, 2011).
Third, put in practice the concept of team work design elements which are basic through a
