Illegal immigration is a contentious issue of law violation in all jurisdictions. The
sovereignty to regulate who enters a country is substantially undermined by unlawful entry and
refusal to leave the country at the end of one's authorized stay. For instance, U.S is the home to
most immigrants in the world as they tend to assimilate better than in other developed countries.
An estimated figure of 12 million illegal immigrants live permanently in the United States (Sari
and William). Moreover, this pattern of immigration has risen debates on the cultural and
economic impacts, with the economy gaining the most support. The inflow of foreigners has
obvious implications on the quality of life, the labor market, productivity, and wages. This paper
will critically analyze the impacts of illegal migration on the national economy.

Illegal immigration has an adverse fiscal effect of the host country. Illegal immigrants
often have a low education which may not secure them good jobs that will add significantly on to
the tax contribution. Due to this, they are said to use the welfare and national provided resources
