Beginning with the two opposing viewpoints on the topic of the moral permissibility of abortion explained in the text, complete and submit a short (750-to 1000-word) reflective research project in which you clearly state and defend a thesis on the topic. Your essay should make good use of the two articles from the text as well as two (2) of the assigned articles in the Abortion Review source linked in this module. The position you defend should be informed by a particular moral principle (moral principles were introduced in Module 1) and should make meaningful reference to the chapters from the textbook and the supplemental articles. You may also use additional academic resources. Be sure to cite all outside sources (including textbook readings, supplemental articles, and any additional research) used in developing your argument, using APA format.

Abortion is a very sensitive issue. People are constantly debating whether or not
abortion should legally be allowed. Some people think abortion is immoral and should not be
allowed at all. They think abortion is like committing murder since it is killing the human
foetus. Others feel that the parents should have the right to choose and it is not murder until the
baby is born. People who think it is bad say that the foetus is a live human being who is partly
formed and an abortion kills it, thus committing murder. There are also people who think
abortion is not a moral issue, because it is not murder until and unless the child is born. The
two most compelling issues to consider are species membership and potentiality. These issues
researched in the Abortion Review will be the basis to support my argument. I will also refer
to chapter seven, “The Deliberately Induced Abortion of a Human Pregnancy Is Ethically
Justifiable” from our textbook. After discussing these two issues and their effect on the moral
issue of abortion, I will argue for the moral permissibility of abortion.
Abortion is the intentional evacuation or considered activity to cause the ejection of an
embryo from the womb of a human female, at the demand of or through the organization of the
mother, so as to bring about the death of the baby. (Wiley, 2014) ...
