Information security refers to the act of being protected from unauthorized use of
information mostly electronic data. It also refers to the measures that are taken to ensure that the
information does not reach the hands of the illegal personnel. A plan refers to set of suggested
actions that are communally related through which one expects to achieve an intended goal.
Therefore, information security plan refers to a set of intended actions that are jointly related
whose main aim is to ensure that information does not reach the hands of an unauthorized person
(Doherty, & Fulford, 2006).
A properly set information security plan is meant to position the organization to end all
the information threats related to people and technology. The major objectives of information
security plan are to enable confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
Confidentiality refers to the secrecy of the information that is being transferred. Information
needs to be protected from the access by unapproved personnel. Therefore, any data within the
