Importance of integrity in project management
Regardless of the achievements of an organization, integrity should be the cornerstone
(Jeurissen et al., 2007). It should be the pillar on which the company is built on. Integrity is more
important than the project itself because it the one which will sustain the running and operations
of the business. When a company has a strong team endowed with such virtues like
trustworthiness and integrity, the organization achieves more than even expected. This is because
it brings the drive which ensures that every member of the staff is accountable and operates in an
open way.
Integrity should always start at the top management. The managers should embrace
transparency which should in turn be reciprocated by the junior members of the staff. They
should be very open to suggestions and even make a point of providing feedback to the staff
members. Leaders should be people of very high reputation (Jeurissen et al., 2007). Customers
will be able to note when integrity in an institution has already been compromised. In such a
situation, the customers will lose trust with the organization and finally, the organization might
collapse. Leaders are supposed to conduct themselves in the best way possible. They should be
