Reflection on an event about determining my core values
Core values are the building blocks for every individual. On 10th /11/2017 I attended an event
that was about determing once core values. I gave my full attention because I needed to learn
what core values are, why are core values important to an individual and finally steps to
discovering once personal core values. The speaker was one that I had longed to meet, that is,
PLO Lumumba. This speaker organized his lecture into a very simple way by first explaining to
us why personal values are important to an individual and describing seven steps through which
one can determine their core values.
Why are personal core values important to an individual? Personal core values are the one that
forms an individual. They guide our behaviors and how we relate others .If we become constant
with our personal values we experience fulfilment. Personal values represent individual
uniqueness and essence.
Steps to determining our personal core values. There are seven steps into determing personal
core values, this are;
