Synopsis
A documentary is a nonfictional motion picture which sole which is prepared by a person
or a group with the main aim of educating, informing, instruction or even maintenance of a
historical perspective or view about something which occurs or had happened in reality. The
apartment gone wrong is an informing documentary that talks about different poor apartment
management skills as evidenced in a different apartment in different cities in the world. Property
management is a field which requires diverse skills in managing and establishing problems and
acting on them and making fast decisions in times of emergency. The film covers different
apartments with examples of Mulch apartments in New York that do not offer a proper screening
of tenants an act that may lead to damage of property, sabotage of the business and not paying
rent.

A documentary is a non-fictional piece of a motion picture which tends to draw any
educative, historical or informative detail of an occurrence or objects. It can also be used to
reveal unusual or an interesting subject and is only limited by one’s imaginations. Most of the
documentaries cover certain contents which filmmakers feel that they are not covered enough by
mainstream media and would bring people or viewers to new experiences through the
presentation of factual information. This information may be about people, events or even paces
and situations. The filmmaker of a documentary is responsible for making compelling and at the
same time truthful piece of a film that covers any content that they wish to be included.
According to the intentions of the filmmaker, these films can be ironic, absurd, funny or even
shocking through the use of these real people as well as real events.

The apartments gone wrong is a documentary film that aims at exploring both negative and
positive aspects of apartment management. Apartment management is the role of maintenance
and managing apartment(s) through the control of operations within it which include installation
of security measures, maintaining cleanliness and control and directing tenants on various issues
such as room maintenance and rent payment. The documentary film highlights most of the
mistakes that apartment managers make in the process of maintaining these residences as well as
what is expected. Though a detailed research, some of the apartment managers in different cities
take advantage of the oblivion of the potential or existing tenants to impose on them additional
charges, overcharge or undercharging them, or even carrying out fraudulent and corrupt services
within the apartments without the knowledge of the apartment owners.
The film covers different practices by different apartment managers in different cities in
the United States. Some of these practices do not adhere to the code of conduct expected of
apartment managers or the apartment owners. Also, there are those that strictly follow the rules
and regulations pertaining to the management of residences. Some of these codes include
overcharging and undercharging of the rental fees and deposits, non-refund of the deposits after a
tenant exits the residence, poor maintenance, fraud and corruption and lack or precautionary
measures in cases of emergencies and accidents. Areas of residence according to the department
of housing and planning should provide adequate services such as water, power, and comfort
through proper ventilation and maintenance. It is, therefore, the duty of the apartment managers
to ensure that the rules and regulations are followed. Despite this, some opt not to and extend to
offer poor services to their tenants. This documentary covers these practices in detail. The film
is an educative, sensitizing as well as informing in nature to the apartment owners, apartment
manager s and tenants. It is informing and educative to apartment owners in the sense that they
