What it means to be Ethical
Ethical conduct is the ability to apply morally acceptable standards and behaviour in
every aspect of our lives. As an ethical person, one is expected to know the difference
between right and wrong, and act accordingly. By being ethical, am supposed to be honest,
trustworthy, and responsible in the workplace, at school, and in addressing community issues.
In my personal, academic, and professional life, am expected to think of the ethical
implications of each and every decision I make, and settle for the most moral one.
Ethical Dilemma
Often, I have been in positions where am supposed to manipulate the truth by giving a
false account of events. However, this dishonesty is meant to violate my ethical responsibility
which is; to state the truth regardless of the consequences. In a situation where a friend was
always taking credit for the tasks we performed together, I was presented with an opportunity
