A mission statement refers to the statements that state the reason for existence of a
business entity or organization and the way in which it will fulfill the needs of its key
stakeholders. The key stakeholders of a business entity include; customers, investors, employees,
government and the surrounding community. A vision statement refers to the statement that
states the future purpose of an organization and its cherished desire. The mission and vision
statements serve three key roles namely; they serve the purpose of communicating the purpose
which the organization serves to its stakeholders, they create the basis on which a strategy is
developed to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives, they are useful in developing
goals and objectives which can be measured and thereafter used in evaluation of a strategy
(Minnesota, 2017).
Values refers to the primary standards which are responsible for guiding conduct in
various settings. They are the moral compass that give guidance to all the activities which are
being undertaken by a business entity. The values generally shows the integrity exhibited by both
individuals and organizations and serve the main purpose of guiding behavior in the decision
making processes of an organization (Entreprenuer, ,2016). As an entrepreneur, I look forward to
starting up a company called Vegan Company that seeks to operate within the environment of
