Introduction
Sociology can be defined as the scientific study of the society in general, with the
inclusion of patterns of culture, social interaction and social relationships. As a science, it uses
the various methods of critical analysis and empirical investigation to develop a knowledge body
about change, acceptance and social order. As a result, sociologists have always had a varied
perspective about the research they conduct. Some apply directly to the welfare and social
policy, however, some primarily focuses on the refining of the social processes’ theoretical
understanding. Ranges of the subject matters vary as from individual urgency and levels of
micro-sociology levels to the social structure and systems’ macro levels. As for this study, I will
look at how different sociological perspectives in the society and how they impact on the overall
human life. These changes can be negative or positive, depending on the circumstance. The main
perspectives I will tackle include: education, religion, family, economy, and government.
Education
When people in a society receive an adequate education, it helps reduces the levels of
poverty. It gives the individuals with the necessary knowledge and helps in productive
contribution towards the job environment. There is a minimum level of education required to
qualify for a job. As with education, those with higher qualifications are capable of getting
higher pay whereas those with lower levels of education earn lower as well. There is a reduced
level of poverty as the educated individuals are able to learn about transactions in the real world,

such as retirement benefits and investments. These qualities can help equip them with the
knowledge to avoid poverty and financial struggles (Durkheim, 162).
