violations. The charges against her were related to fraudulent actions which involved the
collection of money that was supposed to be used for charity. The money collected to provide
the representative with a luxurious life. The funds received were collected as donations, and
the contribution was accepted from 2012-2016. She was found guilty of 18 charges which are
related to fraud, conspiracy and tax and is yet to be sentenced. Her sentence will be
announced on 4th of December (Thompson, 2000).
The reason why the representative was charged and found guilty of 18 counts of a
felony is that she used a charity to gain money from donors to improve her lifestyle. The
money was obtained fraudulently. An added charge was the conspiracy to commit fraud. The
fraudulent actions too place for four years and the money collected was only used as
