Description

Choose one of the following two options

a) Attend TWO local Asian American events, interview at least 3 participants respectively at EACH event, then write a report (4-5 pages, double-spaced, one-inch margin) to compare and contrast the two events. Information about local Asian cultural events will be updated on MyCourses throughout the semester. You can also choose other events in the region as long as it is about Asian and Asian American culture.

b)Writing a participatory report on an Asian ethnic community in the region (4-5 pages, double-spaced, one-inch margin). It could be Chinatown, Japantown, Little India, or Koreantown in New York or any other community as long as it has a large Asian population living within the area. The report needs to discuss the spatial pattern, residential/commercial types, demographic information of residents, language spoken, and cultural landscapes of the Asian ethnic community.

*I am Chinese student, so if you can write from different angle will be great!

where the ethnic groups reside have specific names such as Chinatown, Little India, Koreatown
and so forth. Each of these groups has maintained their customs and traditions including
practices. Some of the common practices that are still done to continue with the traditions
