William Stennet states that being born in Jamaica where everyone is a soccer fan influenced his love for the sport. Furthermore, the family member’s love for the sport is also made evident by his description of how they never miss a match from the premier league. This presents an idea of how his family has influenced his love for the sport. Moreover, the fact that his big brother is a pro soccer player might have influenced his love for the sport. Finally, he exhibits behavior attributable to an avid fan by partaking in the purchase of merchandise. Kairan Zhu, on the other hand, has family influence as the main contributor to him liking boxing. His father is a professional boxer who influenced his love for the sport. However, his location was not critical in influencing his love for the sport since most of the people are not avid boxing fans. This indicates that family influences are major influencer than location. His behavior is characterized by frequent buying of boxing clothes and shoes, which is an indication of his love for the sport. Jia Wo says he is not an extreme fan and he wouldn’t buy lots of things about sports. His family does not have any professional players. But he likes basketball and enjoys watching NBA games. He claims that he grew up in Cleveland where most of the people he met were basketball fans. Sara Acre claims that she has never been personally involved in sports her whole life. However, her family and she personally are big sports fans, especially of the NBA. They never miss watching a match and even occasionally attend the match’s venues. Moreover, she claims that all her neighbors are also major sports fans which might have influenced her love for sports. She does buy sports merchandise, but only on a few occasions. She did buy more merchandise though while she was younger. Courtney Blocker claims that she has always been a sports fans. She has partaken in soccer since around 7th grade, all the way through high school. She also watches all the Premier league on a regular basis and makes sure that she keeps up. All her friends and family also spend a lot of time watching the matches, an indication of how the people around her have influenced her. Moreover, most of her neighbors too are avid soccer fans, an indication of the general love for soccer in the area. She also buys merchandise from the team that she supports. Giancarlo Lopera has been enthralled by sports ever since he was a child. He and his friends are particularly fans of Basketball, and they debate a lot about it, from who the best players are to what the team that is most likely to win is. His whole family also watch basketball matches regularly and attend some of the matches. However, their love for the sport is not reflected in the neighborhood which is not that interested in sports regularly. He also played the sport while in high school and he claims that he was quite good at it. Being an avid fan of basketball, he watches every match of the NBA and even occasionally attends the matches in their respective venues. Furthermore, he regularly buys merchandise and even buys official basketball video games.
