Week/ cussion Board COLLAPSE Collapse Post Organizational Change When change is introduced in an organization, not all the stakeholders or employees might find this appropriate. Several challenges may come about due to this change. Lack of consensus- this is likely to happen when one fails to involve everyone in the decision-making process. When the change comes in, not all the stakeholders will be for that change. This challenge can, however, be overcome by ensuring that all the necessary agents of change are consulted for an active decision made by the chain of managers to be arrivedat. Difficulty in use and implementation- a new technological model or module that most employees fail to understand how to effectively use it. The challenge can be overcome by training the employees on how to use the new machine or technology Work Cited Leavitt, Harold J. "Applied organizational change in industry: Structural, technological and humanistic approaches." Handbook of organizations 27 (1965): 1144-1170. Hi Class. Change is inevitable in an organization. However, as much is it has to be experienced in the running and growth of an organization, there is an effect that comes with its introduction. There are some effects of the introduction of changes as well as ways to overcome the roadblocks thereafter. The workers react positively or negatively towards the change after the introduction. The negative or positive reaction is due to the outcome of the embrace of the change. There are common experiences about the people who on target to change. A change is resisted in most of the times even when it has benefit. It is overwhelming to workers who want a status quo in the organization without adequate information of the change and also the fear of the future changes it is possible for workers to result to stress (Hannah. 2017). Due to failed loyalty, it is possible for workers to leave the organization. When the change is focused on the salary reduction, the organization will target the salary of the employee without thinking of the effect of the change to the employee. Such action divides the loyalty of the workers. Moreover, there is an observation of high absenteeism of the workers and increased time from the working stations. This is because change affects some of the employees negatively, which results to avoidance of such from those have suffered despite the change. In addition, the change of life of the employees is observed, where the effect of the change is adverse such cut of salary, loss of incentives and demotion of an employee, atomically demands a change of lifestyle (Hannah, 2017). On the other hand, there is organization will result to some observation in the introduction of the change. The organization may have become outdated due to the changes in the society. Introducing change, the organization become updated and stays current to the demand of the customers. Employees are also able to create new opportunities as a result of the introduction of change in the organization by taking new roles which add benefits in his or her career. Moreover, the change can lead to increase of the efficiency of the employees in achieving the organizational goals (Chris, 2017). Change can be implemented successfully in an organization by using the change model of the Kotter 8 steps change model, which includes the creating a sense of urgency for change, building a coaching teams to convince others for change, creation of a unified vision, communicate the vision, remove barriers to bringing the change, creating short-term wins, consolidating the improvements for change and lastly anchor the changes to be part of the organization References: Chris Josep.
