Addressing Ethical Dilemmas
The first ethical issue visible in this case is the mental health professional has been in retire for
more than ten years which questions her license to practice. If she is still eligible to practice then
it will not be much an issue but if she is not eligible it will be unethical and illegal to conduct the
assessment.
The ethical dilemmas present in this situation is one concerning multiple relationships. The client
requesting for an assessment is the boss to the mental health professional’s husband. The
practitioner already has an existing relationship with the client through the husband which
