Abstract
This article focuses on a case study concerning the positioning strategy for two healthcare
settings. The strategies explained provides the reader with a clear outlook of strengths and
weaknesses for two orthopedic physicians in the scenario. Following the research, the article
discusses the positioning strategy for both physicians and recommendations based on the
package pricing. Most importantly, the paper looks at both physician groups based on their web
presence.

Case
Steven Jones returned in the recently from a one week out hiking trip in the West. During
Steven’s last leg of his journey, his hiking boot unfortunately lodged in one of the old branches
and caused him to fall. Due to the mishap, Steven had a tear in his right knee meniscus. As per a
physician in the emergency room, Steven was advised to see an orthopedic physician to repair
his meniscus.
Steven also has a very high deductible insurance. When getting home, he looks through
the internet and finds some orthopedic physician in his location. The first one he sees is a group
of thirty-five physicians having a banner that reads one's bones is safe with the group. While
searching through the site, he goes ahead and finds data concerning the partners as well as some
educational material but less more.
The second lot that Steven finds includes a group called Macomb Orthopedic group that
has ten physicians. Macomb Orthopedic Group has each physician with approximated prices for
different procedures. The group’s webpage also contains some paper work that is downloadable
