When working with a group or a team, it is quite the common occurrence for unhealthy
agreements to be experienced. The reason for this is because when working as a team, most
people do not present their ideologies fully especially if they think they will not be taken into
account. From this, three essential dilemmas are presented. The first is primarily dependent on
the notion that people in teams want to be seen as team players and not individualists (Dyer &
Dyer 163). What this implies is that most of the group members do not freely express themselves
in groups especially when the majority has taken a stand that is against their belief or feelings.
This is one of the dilemmas that has always faced me when working in teams. At times,
especially when it comes to decision making, I tend to keep away from going against what the
majority agree on even when I know it could be of great value to the team.
