Introduction

Management theories assist managers to analyze and solve the current situations in the
organization since the nature of today’s organizational environment is changing rapidly. This
paper will discuss the major current situations such as handling a diverse workforce, the
implications of globalization, and the current trend of advancing with technology. Other current
events include continuous improvement initiatives and changing of skill requirements among
others. Theorists came up with the management theories so that they could be implemented and
thus increase the organizational productivity and quality service to clients.
Current situations in organizations
In the past, managers were able to control the workforce since it was mainly
homogenous. However, the current trend in organizations is that there is a diverse incorporation
of employees based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, and religion among other diversities.
Diversity has been linked to an organization's strategic direction since every employee has
unique traits and their diverse ideas assist the firm to be productive. Due to that, there is better
creativity, critical decision making and greater innovation that help the organization to increase
