Conflicts in the recruitment of personnel at the workplace is an unavoidable situation and
employers should understand how to solve conflicts effectively (Alper, Tjosvold & Law, 2000).
When a job is advertised, there is always a specification of the job description and the type of
qualifications needed for that particular job. However, sometimes it happens that the bulk of the
staff show competence delivering in a particular field related to the job they are required to do by
the organization. In this case, the employer could be faced with a dilemma on whether to have
funds allocated in order to hire more workers to do the neglected job or give the necessary
training to the existing staff in order to boost their competence in the neglected job...
